Makayla's Fun Run

Makayla qulaified to be in the schools fun run which is 1 mile to finish the marathon. To qualify you had to run 25 miles between the 1st of April and 31st of May. 153 kids at Southwood grades K-5 qulaified- they do this twice a year.
The are all off, of course the Kindergartners lined up in the back

Starting last did not stop Makayla she passed 103 kids to end up 50th.

By the way she told me she was not tired and her shoe was untied the whole time.

Dino Days - Vintage Motorcycle Races

We headed down to the Vintage Motorcycle races in Olympia. Aleah and Makayla both fell in love with Frank ( between the girls) who played with them all weekend long.
Aleah getting ready to go riding

Makayla rode 4 different times on Saturday, she thought it was a great time, this is the most she has ever ridden. She counted how many times she could pass Frank.

At camp eating some lunch. We had 5 kids and two Mom's in one motor home. Dad's went fishing together. Yes the kids did wear us out.

Everyone watching the races

Symphony

Nana went with us to the Symphony this month, Aleah tried out the violin

Gravy Ladle

Miles has insisted on using the gravy ladle to eat with. If you give him anything else he thrown it on the floor. This has gone on for 3 day's now.

Bike Race

The Girls look forward to the bike race every year in Enumclaw.
This year was more of a lesson than entertainment. The last two year Makayla received second place. This year she was determined to bring home the blue ribbon. To say the least it didn't happen- she was 4th (or last). Which turned into a tearful disaster.

While on the other end of the field we had Aleah, who didn't have any issue's bring home first place.

Miles Turns "Dos"

We taught Miles to say he was turning "dos", he had a great birthday
Makayla got to light the candles, it was windy Dad ended up helping.
He had fun opening card and gifts

Yes it didn't take him long to find the dirt pile

Aleah Zoo Field Trip

Aleah had a preschool field trip to the zoo- we are with Gina, Raclyn, and Finn

Aleah and Finn on the Spider Web

The whole time we were at the zoo all Aleah wanted to to was go ride the horses, she did say the whale was her favorite animal!

Spanaway Lake with Grampa and Nana

The kids look forward to going fishing with Grandpa on Spanaway lakeMiles was a big talker about the boat for two days, when it came down to getting in the boat he had nothing to do with it, so Nana, Miles and I had a great time playing at the playground

Nana and Grandpa bought Miles the new bubble tub for his birthday, he loves it

For some reason Miles only eats cupcakes with out his hands, he does not want to touch them.
